There are a number of ways you can support our Museum. The Furneaux Museum is fully managed by volunteers. Any support is greatly appreciated by our Management Committee.

Volunteer

The Museum offers a number of opportunities for volunteering

  • Visitor Services: Help make sure every visitor to the Museum has a great experience, by participating in the reception duty roster.
  • Maintenance Services: Help make sure we’re on top of the wear, tear, and repair of the exhibitions, building, and grounds of the Museum by attending working bees or doing odd jobs.
  • Local History, Research, and Collection Management Services: Help make sure the Museum’s collections are recorded, digitised, and available to people researching local or family histories. Volunteers can transcribe hand written documents, scan photos and documents, answer research queries, assist with assessing new objects, formally document existing parts of the collection in our online catalogue, become part of a working or special interest group.

Make a donation

Your gift enables us to build and care for our collection, develop new exhibitions and undertake the vital day to day running of the museum. The Furneaux Museum thanks you for your support.

The Furneaux Historical Research Association Incorporated is a registered charity. Donations over $2.00 are tax deductible.
