Planning your visit

The Furneaux Museum at Emita is a 20-minute drive north from Whitemark on sealed roads.

We recommend you allow at least an hour for the Museum, then continue further along Port Davies Road to Wybalenna historic site.

Several lovely beaches are also nearby. You could easily spend a whole day in the area - but plan ahead and bring everything you need.  Food and fuel are not available north of Whitemark.

The Museum has a small range of merchandise for sale such as books of local relevance and locally-made soaps. The Museum grounds are wheelchair-accessible, but inside the old buildings space is restricted and some have steps.
