Planning your visit

The Furneaux Museum at Emita is a 20-minute drive north from Whitemark on sealed roads.

We recommend you allow at least one hour for the Museum and follow with a visit to nearby Wybalenna historic site. There are also several lovely beaches in the area.

You could easily spend a day in the area - but plan ahead!  There are no food or fuel outlets north of Whitemark.

The Museum has a small range of merchandise for sale such as books of local relevance and locally-made soaps. The Museum site is wheelchair-accessible, but inside the old buildings space is restricted and some have steps.
