Planning your visit
The Furneaux Museum is at 8 Fowlers Road, off Port Davies Road, Emita. It is a 20-minute drive north from Whitemark on sealed roads.
We recommend you allow at least an hour for your visit to the Museum.
Wybalenna historic site is further along Port Davies Road not far from the Museum, and several lovely beaches are also nearby. You could easily spend half a day or more in the area, but be aware there are no shops or services north of Whitemark so take with you everything you need.
There are picnic tables in the Museum grounds and bottled water can be purchased from reception.
We carry a small range of selected merchandise for sale such as books of local relevance and locally-made cards and soaps.
There is wheelchair access around the Museum site however space is restricted in the early buildings and some have steps.
